About us
La Esperanza Granada is a grass roots group of volunteers. ‘Born’ in 2002, we started in one small village on the outskirts of Granada,
and now help in seven poverty stricken areas.
Volunteers come from around the world, for varying lengths of time. No fees are charged to volunteers, and all fund raising
is both independent and voluntary. We don’t have any grants, nor do we directly ask people for money.
Such funds as are given to us are not used on administration – 100% of all donations go straight to helping the communities
from building new classrooms to paying local nurse to visit the schools, to making copies of exams for the children,
buying textbooks, children’s dental visits, sports supplies, and varied other things relating to children’s education and health.
Whether your interest is in volunteering, in contributing goods, in donating money, or simply curiosity we appreciate you
taking the time to look through this web site, and hope it will meet your interests.
