Cost and Commitment

Cost

There are no program fees to volunteer with La Esperanza Granada.
There is no registration fee.
We ask each volunteer to make a $20 contribution to administration costs in order to continue using all donations directly for the schools.
We value the time you are willing to give.

Volunteers are responsible for their own travel expenses, and for their living expenses in Granada. So your costs will be your air fare, and your living cost while you are in Nicaragua. (most volunteers live on $35 to $100 per week, after rent.)

Commitment

Volunteers work 5 7 hours per day, four to five days per week. We normally ask that you stay a minimum of 8 weeks, though this can vary at certain times of the year. It may depend on the projects you will be helping with, your level of Spanish, your previous experience and our current needs. We welcome long term volunteers, and often have volunteers who stay 6 months and longer.
