These are some of the many things that volunteers and friends of the organization, schools etc. have done to raise funds to help La Esperanza Granada help the students here in Nicaragua:
Gallo pinto night – Salsa dance competition – Running a marathon – Playing beach volleyball – Selling cakes at work on Fridays – Photography exhibition – Spaghetti fest – Hosting a fun run – Collecting and selling second hand books on a stall called “Read for Need” – Requesting donations in lieu of gifts for your birthday/wedding/anniversary – Collecting empty bottles in your neighborhood and returning them for the deposit – Holding a trivia night/pub quiz – Flor de Caña tasting with silent auction
If you want to hold a fundraising event of any kind, we will be happy to help you in any way we can, supplying information, photos, videos, power point presentations, or other materials. We can also give you a written commitment as to how the funds will be used and provide feedback afterwards.
If you are attending a school or college in the U.S.A. you can help raise funds for us by having a Pulsera Sale. Pulseras (meaning ‘bracelet’ in Spanish) are beautiful hand-woven bracelets made by local artisans in Granada and other local communities. Project Pulsera will provide you will all you need to have a sale of these wonderful hand made goods, and a percentage of the sale money will come to La Esperanza Granada. Just mention that you have been referred by us. There website is www.pulseraproject.org.
