Hello! My name is Maria Elena Espinoza Rocha; I’m 12 years old, and I’m in fifth grade at Rigoberto Lopez Pérez Public School. I live with my mom, Keylin, who works as a nanny, and my dad, Jhony, who is a taxi driver. I have two siblings: Jhony, who is 15 years old, and Keylin Anielka, who is 8 years old. At home, I like washing dishes, helping clean, and I really enjoy picking avocados in our yard. I also like watching videos on YouTube and TikTok on TV. When I grow up, I want to be a firefighter because I like helping people when their houses are burning and rescuing animals that are in danger. Scary movies frighten me because afterward I can’t sleep.

Being with my mom makes me happy. My favorite food is bean soup with cheese, and my favorite drink is cacao juice. My favorite sport is basketball, my favorite color is red, and my favorite animal is the dog.

At the Pantanal center, I like doing math exercises, which is my favorite subject. I also enjoy Spanish and the thematic afternoons, where I learn new things and have lots of fun. I like going to the Pantanal center because it makes me happy, and they teach me many things that I don’t know yet, but the teachers patiently help me learn.

¡Hola! Mi nombre es María Elena Espinoza Rocha, tengo 12 años y estoy en quinto grado de primaria en el Colegio Público Rigoberto López Pérez. Vivo con mi mamá Keylin, quien es niñera, y mi papá Jhony, que es taxista. Tengo dos hermanos: Jhony, de 15 años, y Keylin Anielka, de 8 años. En casa me gusta lavar trastes, ayudar a limpiar y me gusta bastante recoger aguacates en el patio de mi casa. También me gusta ver videos en YouTube y TikTok en la televisión. Cuando sea grande quiero ser bombera porque me gusta ayudar a las personas cuando su casa se está quemando y también ayudar a los anímales que están en peligro.

Me dan miedo las películas de terror porque después no puedo dormir, me pone feliz estar con mi mamá. Mi comida favorita es sopa de frijoles con queso y mi bebida favorita es el fresco de cacao. Mi deporte favorito es el básquetbol. Mi color favorito es el rojo y mi animal favorito es el perro.

En el centro PANTANAL me gusta hacer ejercicios en Matemáticas, que es mi área favorita, y también disfruto español y las tardes temáticas, donde aprendo nuevos temas y me divierto mucho. Me gusta venir al centro PANTANAL porque me hace ser feliz y me enseñan muchas cosas acerca de lo que yo aún no se pero que los profesores con paciencia me enseñan.
