Hello! My name is Milagros Consuelo Calero Calero and I am 9 years old. I’m a very active and cheerful girl who’s always eager to learn. I’m in fourth grade at Joaquín Pasos Argüello School, where I do my best every day.

I live in a home full of love with my mom, my dad, my grandma, my uncle, my aunt, my two sisters, and my brother. There’s always something going on and lots of laughter in my house. I love helping with chores—sweeping, cooking—and of course, I also enjoy playing when I have free time.

My favorite color is yellow because it reminds me of the sun and happiness. I love eating gallopinto with fried plantains, cheese, and eggs—and if I can have a delicious cold oatmeal drink with it, it’s even better! My favorite animals are dogs and cats because they seem noble, sweet, and always make me feel accompanied.

One of my favorite movies is Shrek because it makes me laugh and also teaches me that it doesn’t matter how you look—what truly matters is what’s in your heart. When I think about the future, I have a dream that fills me with hope: I want to be a nurse. I would love to take care of people, help them feel better, and be a helping hand when they need it most.

This is my first year at La Esperanza Granada, and I love coming here because I learn so much from the teachers. They explain things patiently and make the classes interesting and fun. Here we don’t just learn school subjects—we also learn how to grow as people.

¡Hola! Me llamo Milagros Consuelo Calero Calero y tengo 9 años. Soy una niña muy activa, alegre y con muchas ganas de aprender. Estudio en el cuarto grado de la escuela Joaquín Pasos Argüello, donde cada día me esfuerzo por dar lo mejor de mí.

Vivo en una casa llena de amor junto a mi mamá, mi papá, mi abuelita, mi tío, mi tía, mis dos hermanas y mi hermano. Siempre hay movimiento y risas en mi hogar. Me encanta ayudar en las tareas de la casa: barrer, cocinar y, por supuesto, también me gusta jugar cuando tengo tiempo libre.

Mi color favorito es el amarillo, porque me recuerda al sol y a la alegría. Me encanta comer gallopinto con tajadas, queso y huevo, y si lo acompaño con una avena bien rica, ¡mucho mejor! Mis animales preferidos son los perros y los gatos, porque me parecen nobles, tiernos y siempre hacen que me sienta acompañada.

Una de mis películas favoritas es Shrek, porque me hace reír y también me enseña que no importa cómo te veas, lo que vale es lo que llevas en el corazón. Cuando pienso en el futuro, tengo un sueño que me llena de ilusión: quiero ser enfermera. Me gustaría cuidar a las personas, ayudarlas a sentirse mejor y ser una mano amiga cuando más lo necesiten.

Este es mi primer año en La Esperanza Granada y me encanta venir, porque aprendo muchísimo con los profesores. Explican con paciencia y hacen que las clases sean interesantes y divertidas. Aquí no solo aprendemos materias, también aprendemos a crecer como personas.
