Hello! My name is Brisa Nazaret Ortega Valle, I was born July 19, 2017, in Granada, Nicaragua. I am in second grade of elementary school the Escudo school, I am 7 years old. I live with my mom, my stepfather, and my three siblings. My mom’s name is Jennifer del Rosario, my biological dad’s name is Califa Pomares, my stepfather is Pedro Paulo Rios, and my brothers are named Samir, Manuel, and Kenner.

In my free time, I watch TV (Cartoons) and play with my cousins, Dylan, Papu, Jared, and Naomi, to “la sandillita agachada” most of the time.

I like scary movies, but there is a specific one that terrifies me called “La Llorona.” Also, I’m afraid of cockroaches and toads.

When I misbehave, I get scolded and I get sad, because I feel that I am not loved, and it gives me a feeling of guilt. When I am happy is when they hug me, when they let me play, I feel a moment of peace, and at that moment, the sadness goes away.

In my home I find peace, my family is calm, and they make me feel good around them. Sometimes I watch TV with my cousins, my brother, and even my dad. We enjoy movies or cartoons.

My little friends are named Shelsea, Michael, and Litzy too. I consider them siblings.

My stepfather works as a laundryman. He is the breadwinner, on the other hand, my mom is a housewife, she is the one who takes care of me.

My favorite color is red. What I like to eat the most is roasted chicken, Chinese rice, yogurt, and tacos. I play hide and seek with my friends. I’m afraid of the weeping woman because I saw her in a movie, and she’s scary. In sports, I am very good at playing baseball, I love to play football, and I like to read the story of Cinderella.

At the Escudo center, I have had a lot of fun, my favorite activity is when we use the paints to create artwork. The most fun time is when the educators let us play a sport that teaches us the value of teamwork. The center has taught me the value of respect, responsibility and kindness.

My classmates have been good to me, but for me, Concepción, Abri,l and Orlando have been the ones who have been there as my best companions. I have loved the activities of the Escudo center; I hope they continue to create strategies for education. Thank you!

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Brisa Nazaret Ortega Valle. Nací el 19 de julio de 2017, en Granada, Nicaragua. Tengo 8 años y actualmente curso el segundo grado en el colegio El Escudo. Vivo con mi mamá, mi padrastro y mis tres hermanos. Mi mamá se llama Jennifer del Rosario, mi papá biológico se llama Califa Pomares, mi padrastro se llama Pedro Paulo Ríos y mis hermanos se llaman Samir, Manuel y Kenner.

En mi tiempo libre me gusta ver caricaturas en la televisión y jugar con mis primos Dylan, Papu, Jared y Naomi. La mayoría de las veces jugamos a “la sandillita agachada”.

Me gustan las películas de miedo, pero hay una que me da mucho terror: “La Llorona”. También me asustan las cucarachas y los sapos.

Cuando me porto mal, me regañan y eso me pone triste, porque siento que no me quieren y me da culpa. Soy feliz cuando me abrazan o me dejan jugar; en esos momentos siento mucha paz y la tristeza desaparece.

En mi hogar encuentro tranquilidad, mi familia es muy calmada y me hace sentir bien. A veces veo televisión con mis primos, mi hermano y hasta con mi papá. Disfrutamos mucho las películas y las caricaturas juntos.

Mis amiguitos se llaman Shelsea, Michael y Litzy; los considero como hermanos.

Mi padrastro trabaja en lavandería, él es quien sostiene económicamente a la familia. Por otro lado, mi mamá es ama de casa y es quien me cuida.

Mi color favorito es el rojo. Mi comida favorita es el pollo asado, el arroz chino, el yogur y los tacos. Me gusta jugar a las escondidas con mis amigos. Me da miedo La Llorona porque la vi en una película y me asustó mucho. En los deportes soy muy buena jugando béisbol, me encanta el fútbol y me gusta leer el cuento de La Cenicienta.

En el Centro Escudo me divierto mucho. Mi actividad favorita es cuando usamos pinturas para hacer obras de arte. Los momentos más alegres son cuando los educadores nos dejan jugar deportes que nos enseñan el valor del trabajo en equipo. El centro me ha enseñado la importancia del respeto, la responsabilidad y la amabilidad.

Mis compañeros han sido muy buenos conmigo, pero mis mejores amigos son Concepción, Abril y Orlando. Me han encantado todas las actividades del Centro Escudo, y espero que sigan creando nuevas estrategias para aprender. ¡Gracias!
