Hello!

My name is José Benjamín Montiel Castillo, and I’m 12 years old. I’m currently in 5th grade, and I consider myself a good kid—though a little mischievous too. My parents, Manuel Montiel and Lady María, are the best thing that’s ever happened to me. They always support me and fill my life with love.

One of the things that excites me the most is watching the movie Tarzan repeatedly. I love the jungle adventures—they’re fascinating!

My favorite color is a mix of red and blue, because red gives me energy and blue make me feel calm. I love both dogs and cats—they’re like furry friends who brighten my day. But crocodiles… whew! Better to stay away from them, don’t you think?

I attend the Sabaneta Learning Center, a place where I learn something new every day and have so much fun with my friends. There’s nothing like water in the afternoons to cool off and have a great time playing—they’re the best!

My favorite subject at school is English. I love learning new languages and discovering other cultures.

And finally, I want to thank La Esperanza, a place that means so much to me. Thank you to those who built it, for creating such a special place.

When I grow up, I want to be a doctor, because I want to help others without expecting anything in return. I also want to be someone my family can look up to.

Mi nombre es José Benjamín Montiel Castillo y tengo 12 años. Ahora estoy en 5.º grado y me considero un niño bueno, pero también un poco travieso. Mis papás son Manuel Montiel y Lady María, lo mejor que me ha pasado. Siempre me apoyan y me llenan de amor. Una de las cosas que más me emocionan es ver la película de Tarzán sin parar. ¡Las aventuras en la selva me fascinan!

Mi color favorito es una mezcla entre el rojo y el azul porque el rojo me da energía y el azul me transmite calma. Me encantan tanto los perros como los gatos; son como amigos peludos que alegran mis días. Pero los cocodrilos… ¡uf! Mejor mantenerse alejado de ellos, ¿no creen? Acudo al Centro Sabaneta, un lugar donde cada día aprendo algo nuevo y me divierto mucho con mis amigos. No hay nada como las tardes de agua para refrescarme y pasar un buen rato jugando. ¡Son lo máximo! Mi materia favorita en la escuela es inglés; me encanta aprender nuevos idiomas y conocer sobre otras culturas.

Y, por último, quiero agradecer a La Esperanza, un lugar que significa mucho para mí. Gracias a quienes lo construyeron por hacer un sitio tan especial.

Lo que me gustaría ser de grande es ser un doctor, ya que puedo ayudar a las demás personas sin esperar nada a cambio, también me encantaría ser el ejemplo de mi familia a seguir.
