Hello!

My name is Enmanuel David Arauz Alvarado. I am 8 years old and I’m in third grade at Sagrado Corazón de Jesús School. I live with my beautiful family: my mom Yubelka, my dad Joaquín, and my younger brother, whom I love very much.

My parents work hard—my mom sells lottery tickets, and my dad works in construction. While they are busy, my uncle takes care of me and my little brother. I love watching TV, especially cartoons and kids’ videos on YouTube with my mom and brother. When I grow up, I want to be a lawyer so I can help my family. I’ve liked this career since I was very little.

Even though reading is hard for me, I’m learning little by little. Sometimes I can be impatient and a bit mischievous, but I also have unique qualities. My favorite color is blue, and my favorite food is fried chicken. I love soccer and dream of becoming a great soccer player. My favorite hero is God.

I like attending the Pantanal Center because I know I’m learning, and I’m thankful for the teachers who are so patient. I especially enjoy the art afternoons because I get to dance and do crafts—it’s something I find very relaxing.

I’m afraid of heights and the dark, but with my family’s support, I always find a way to overcome my fears.

Mi nombre es Enmanuel David Arauz Alvarado, tengo 8 años y curso el tercer grado de primaria en el Colegio Sagrado corazón de Jesús. Vivo con mi bella familia: mi mamá Yubelka, mi papá Joaquín y mi hermano menor, a quien quiero mucho.

Mis padres trabajan arduamente: mi mamá vende lotería y papá trabaja en la construcción. Mientras ellos están ocupados, mi tío cuida de mí y de mi hermanito. Me encanta ver televisión, especialmente caricaturas y videos infantiles en YouTube con mi mamá y hermano. Cuando sea grande quiero ser abogado para ayudar a mi familia, me gusta esta carrera desde que estoy muy pequeño.

Aunque me cuesta leer, estoy aprendiendo poco a poco. A veces puedo ser impaciente y necio, pero también tengo cualidades únicas. Me gusta el color azul y mi comida favorita es el pollo frito. Amo el fútbol y sueño con convertirme en un gran futbolista. Mi héroe favorito es Dios.

Me gusta asistir al centro Pantanal porque sé que estoy aprendiendo y gracias a los profesores que tienen mucha paciencia, me guastan las tardes de arte porque bailo y hago manualidades, me gusta eso porque es muy relajante.

Tengo miedo a las alturas y la oscuridad, pero con el apoyo de mi familia, siempre encuentro la manera de superar mis miedos.
