Hello!
My name is Milagro de los Ángeles Ruiz Mejía. I am 11 years old, and I’m in fifth grade at the Nueva Esperanza Public School. I consider myself a very intelligent, cheerful, and charismatic girl. My family is made up of my mom, Salvadora, who is a homemaker; my dad, Seledonio Ruiz, who passed away a year ago and used to work in the fields; and I have many siblings—14 in total! Some of their names are Alex, Elías, David, Seledonio, Felipe, and Luis.
I like singing with my friends and sometimes by myself. My favorite color is purple, and my favorite food is chicken with salad, along with a glass of orange juice. I love sheep because of their soft and fluffy wool, but I’m afraid of tigers because they are very aggressive. When I grow up, I want to be a doctor so I can help everyone—especially my family and many brothers and sisters.
What makes me happiest is spending time with my family. At the Pantanal Learning Center, I’ve learned so much. My favorite subject is math—I’m fascinated by numbers and how to solve problems. I also really enjoy art classes and themed afternoons, because they’re not something you usually get at school. We learn different things that help us grow as people and understand what is right and wrong.
I’m a very cheerful and charismatic girl, especially with my friends. I have a lot of fun attending the learning center, and I’m happy to have so many friends and teachers who care about me.

Mi nombre es Milagro de los Ángeles Ruiz Mejía, tengo 11 años y estoy en quinto grado de primaria en el Colegio Público Nueva Esperanza. Me considero una niña muy inteligente, alegre y carismática. Mi familia está formada por mi mamá, Salvadora, quien es ama de casa; mi papá, Seledonio Ruiz el falleció hace un año, trabajaba en el campo; y tengo muchos hermanos, ¡14 en total! Algunos de sus nombres son Alex, Elías, David, Seledonio, Felipe y Luis.
Me gusta cantar con mis amigos y a veces sola. Mi color favorito es el morado y mi comida favorita es el pollo con ensalada, acompañado de un jugo de naranja. Amo a las ovejas por su pelaje y suavidad, pero me da miedo los tigres porque son muy agresivos. Cuando sea grande, quiero ser doctora para ayudar a todos, especialmente a mi familia y a mis muchos hermanos.
Lo que más me hace feliz es pasar tiempo con mi familia. En el Centro de Aprendizaje PANTANAL he aprendido mucho. Mi materia favorita es matemáticas, y me fascina conocer todos los números y cómo resolver problemas. También me gustan mucho las clases de arte y las tardes temáticas, ya que no es algo común en las escuelas y aprendemos cosas diferentes que nos ayudan a desarrollarnos como personas y a discernir lo que está bien y lo que está mal.
Soy una niña muy alegre y carismática, especialmente con mis amigos. Me divierto mucho al asistir al centro de aprendizaje y me alegra tener muchos amigos y profesores que me quieren.
