Hello! I am Alondra Ximena Mercado, and I am 8 years old. I live with my mom, my dad, and my siblings in a home full of laughter, hugs, and moments to share. I am in second grade at El Escudo School. I love going to class because every day I learn something new, and I especially enjoy it when we use colors, sing, or play games that help us understand the lessons better.

My favorite food is gallo pinto, especially when I have it with eggs and fried plantains. I like drinking passion fruit juice because it’s refreshing and has a taste that makes me smile. My favorite color is light blue because it reminds me of the clear sky and gives me a sense of peace. I like using it in my drawings and in my clothes.

The sport I enjoy most is tennis. I like running back and forth with the racket and trying to hit the ball hard. That’s why one of my dreams is to become a professional tennis player. I would also like to be a veterinarian. I love animals, especially kittens. I would like to take care of them when they are sick and help them feel better. It seems like a job full of care and responsibility.

Cats are my favorite animals because they are soft, calm, and like being close to people. They make me feel peaceful and happy. Although I love animals, I am afraid of toads. The way they jump scares me a little, so I try not to go near them.

In my free time, I like drawing flowers, hearts, and kittens. I also enjoy dancing in front of the mirror or with my family when happy music is playing. I like visiting new parks, especially if they have gardens, swings, and playgrounds where I can climb or slide. I get excited running among the trees and discovering corners to play.

¡Hola! Soy Alondra Ximena Mercado y tengo 8 años. Vivo con mi mamá, mi papá y mis hermanos en un hogar donde siempre hay risas, abrazos y momentos para compartir. Estudio en segundo grado en el colegio El Escudo. Me encanta ir a clases porque todos los días aprendo algo nuevo, y me gusta mucho cuando usamos colores, cantamos o hacemos juegos que nos ayudan a entender mejor los temas.

Mi comida favorita es el gallo pinto, sobre todo cuando lo preparo con huevo y plátano frito. Me gusta tomar jugo de maracuyá porque es refrescante y tiene un sabor que me hace sonreír. Mi color preferido es el celeste porque me recuerda al cielo claro y me transmite paz. Me gusta usarlo en mis dibujos y en mi ropa.

El deporte que más disfruto es el tenis. Me gusta correr de un lado a otro con la raqueta y tratar de golpear la pelota con fuerza. Por eso, uno de mis sueños es convertirme en tenista profesional. Además, me gustaría ser veterinaria. Amo a los animales, especialmente a los gatitos. Me gustaría cuidarlos cuando estén enfermos y ayudarlos a sentirse mejor. Me parece un trabajo lleno de ternura y responsabilidad.

Los gatos son mis animales favoritos porque son suaves, tranquilos y les gusta estar cerca de las personas. Me hacen sentir calma y alegría. Aunque me encantan los animales, le tengo miedo a los sapos. Su forma de saltar me asusta un poco y trato de no acercarme a ellos.

En mi tiempo libre, me gusta dibujar flores, corazones y gatitos. También disfruto bailar frente al espejo o con mi familia cuando suena música alegre. Me gusta conocer nuevos parques, sobre todo si tienen jardines, columpios y juegos donde pueda trepar o deslizarme. Me emociona correr entre los árboles y descubrir rincones donde jugar.
