Hello! My name is Álvaro David Calero Calero, and I am 11 years old. I’m in third grade at Joaquín Pasos Argüello School. I consider myself a cheerful and active boy, and I’m always eager to learn and have fun.

I live with my dad, my mom, my three sisters, my grandmother, an uncle, and an aunt. At home, I like to help by sweeping, and I really enjoy playing with my sisters and family members.

My favorite color is blue because it gives me a sense of calm, and I like how it looks on clothes or in the sky. My favorite food is marinated chicken, which I always enjoy when my family prepares it. I love animals, especially dogs and cats, because they’re affectionate and fun.

One of my favorite movies is “Chucky,” because I find suspense stories exciting. When I think about what I want to be when I grow up, I’m sure I want to become a police officer, because I want to protect people and help keep order in my community.

This is my first year at La Esperanza Granada, and I really like it because I spend time with my schoolmates and learn a lot. The educators explain things very well and always motivate us to keep moving forward.

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Álvaro David Calero Calero y tengo 11 años. Estudio tercer grado en la escuela Joaquín Pasos Argüello. Me considero un niño alegre y activo, y siempre tengo ganas de aprender y divertirme.

Vivo con mi papá, mi mamá, mis tres hermanas, mi abuelita, un tío y una tía. En casa, me gusta colaborar barriendo y también disfruto mucho jugar con mis hermanas y familiares.

Mi color favorito es el azul, porque me transmite tranquilidad y me gusta cómo se ve en la ropa o en el cielo. Mi comida preferida es el pollo adobado, que siempre disfruto cuando lo prepara mi familia. Me encantan los animales, sobre todo los perros y los gatos, porque son cariñosos y divertidos.

Una de las películas que más me gusta es “Chucky”, porque me parecen emocionantes las historias de suspenso. Cuando pienso en lo que quiero ser de grande, tengo claro que deseo ser policía, ya que quiero proteger a las personas y ayudar a mantener el orden en mi comunidad.

Este es mi primer año en La Esperanza Granada, y me gusta mucho porque paso tiempo con mis compañeros de la escuela y aprendo bastante. Los educadores explican muy bien y siempre nos motivan a seguir adelante.
