Hello! My name is Yariel Elías Pavón Cruz, I am 11 years old, and I’m in sixth grade at the Christian Educational Center of Granada. I live in a community in the south of Granada called La Galera. I consider myself a kind and intelligent boy, and I really enjoy spending time with my classmates, because being around them makes me feel loved and happy.

At home, I live with my mom, Margarita del Pilar, who is a homemaker; my dad, Daniel Pavón, who works as a pig butcher; and my brother Eliezer. I like helping with chores at home, such as washing the dishes and clothes, and I always try to complete my schoolwork.

My hobbies include playing soccer and baseball. My favorite color is blue because it represents the sea. I enjoy eating fried chicken with a cold soda. I want to learn how to cook and sweep, since those are skills, I don’t have yet. Studying for exams stresses me out, but I really love to read.

At the Pantanal Center, I have learned to understand my emotions through the themed afternoons we’ve had, which has helped me get to know myself better and gain new knowledge. I’ve developed social and public speaking skills, thanks to the affection and trust given to me by my teachers and classmates.

When I grow up, I’d like to be a chef and save money to build my own house.

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Yariel Elías Pavón Cruz, tengo 11 años y estoy en sexto grado en el Centro Educativo Cristiano de Granada. Vivo en una comunidad al sur de Granada llamada La Galera. Me considero un niño amable e inteligente, y disfruto mucho convivir con mis compañeros, ya que estar rodeado de ellos me hace sentir querido y feliz.

En casa vivo con mi mamá, Margarita del Pilar, quien es ama de casa, mi papá, Daniel Pavón, que trabaja como destazador de cerdos, y mi hermano Eliezer. Me gusta ayudar en las tareas del hogar, como lavar trastes y ropa, además de hacer mis tareas escolares.

Mis hobbies incluyen jugar al fútbol y béisbol. Mi color favorito es el azul porque representa el color del mar, disfruto comer pollo frito con una gaseosa bien helada. Quiero aprender a cocinar y a barrer, ya que son habilidades que aún no tengo. Me estresa tener que estudiar para examen, pero me encanta leer mucho.

En el centro Pantanal he aprendido a conocer mis emociones a través de las tardes temáticas que hemos tenido, lo que me ha permitido conocerme mejor y adquirir nuevo conocimiento. He desarrollado habilidades para socializar y hablar en público, gracias al cariño y la confianza que me brindan mis profesores y compañeros.

Cuando sea grande, me gustaría ser chef y ahorrar para construir mi casa.
